September 2009, German mill ZPR acquires CHIPMETER® 4000 The German pulp mill Zellstoff Rosenthal GmbH (ZPR) is one of the most modern kraft pulp mills in Europe. The mill manufactures approximately 325,000 ADMTs annually of NBSK pulp of the highest quality. In August of this year, ZPR decided to acquire a Chipmeter® 4000 system as a pilot installation to measure the volume of the chip loads received at the mill. The main benefits of the Chipmeter® for the mill will be the reduction in labor costs, savings in the purchase of chips, and increased mill efficiency. The mill will track the benefits provided by the system and make an informed purchase decision next year. Back
